Adaptor Kit

 The Spin-On Oil Filter Adaptor Kit (Model 410-010) for the Kawasaki Concours (all years) began initial development in 2004. In cooperation with the engineering department of one of the oldest and leading oil filter manufacturers, the concept began to take shape. Calculations were made, data gathered, precision measurements of critical engine parts were conducted and significant research was performed to design the strongest, most practical, and simple solution possible for the Kawasaki Concours.
Several iterations of the design transpired using state of the art 3d CAD (Computer Aided Design) and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) applications before two prototype kits were machined locally. I immediately installed prototype #1 on my personal Concours and began running extensive functional tests to confirm performance including comprehensive before and after
oil pressure tests. Thousands of completely trouble-free test miles on this first prototype have confirmed the effectiveness of this design and the achievement of all specified performance objectives.
Qualification tests are being conducted concurrently for applications on many other Kawasaki Motorcycle models with the same oil filter design as the Concours. Check this site often for a list of qualified models that will be able to take advantage of this Spin-On Oil Filter Adaptor Kit.

- Unique to this Adaptor, it allows the pre-filling of the oil filter with the motor oil of choice prior to installation. This greatly reduces the oil pressure build-up lag inherent in the stock (or standard) oil filter apparatus at startup immediately following an oil/filter change.
