Dan,

Thanks for such a NEEDED product! Installation was a snap on my 1999 ZRX1100. It is nice to know that changing the oil filter now will be a 2 minute job without all the previous mess and complexity of the OEM design!

Also, this installation has been tested under some extreme conditions. Right after installation, I took my bike to Willow Springs race track and subjected it to full-throttle acceleration and speeds in excess of 150mph for about 50 laps. That is over 100 miles! No leaks and no problems!

Hi Murph,

I received my oil filter adapter kit on Friday and installed it on my Concours yesterday (Saturday). What a slick piece of engineering! The adapter is so good looking and flawlessly machined, it almost seems like a shame to hide it on the bottom of the motor.

The instructions were detailed and simple to follow, even for a mechanically challenged desk jockey like me. This will definitely make oil changes easier and faster.

Many thanks to you and Dan.

Dan,

I installed my spin-on filter adapter this afternoon. I had gotten it from Murph last August and then about a month later, before I needed to change oil and filter on Tumbleweed, I totaled the poor thing. I finally got to an oil-change interval on TumbleToo and was amazed at actually doing a mechanical thing in less than my usual 2-3 days.

Easy installation! I'm sure not going to miss the spray of oil that comes when the old filter retainer plate was unscrewed.

Thanks for the design and excellent implementation!

Phil

Hello Dan,

I'm very happy with the spin on oil filter kit I purchased for my 2000 Concours.

Thanks for the help, and thanks again for making such a great product for the Connie.

Dan,

I just installed your oil adapter (from Murphs) on my new Kawasaki Concours. (Now it takes the same filter as my Honda Civic.)

Great product, super directions, and the inclusion of the needed liquids and wrench is appreciated.

You 'da man!

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Dan,

Just finished installing the Bergmen filter. I own a ZRX 1200. I removed the radiator but later found that all the nuts holding the header pipe on can be loosened without being removed by using a long extension and a swivel. By loosening the nuts the exhaust pipe can be wiggled towards the outside and the filter adapter can be installed without contacting the collector.

I am so glad to have installed your product. Now I don't dread having to remove that idiotic plate that used to hold the paper filter.

Thanks!

William

Hey Dan,

Being one of the "test pilots" for the oil filter conversion kit, I was lucky enough to be one of the first to install this kit. It has been wonderful not to have oil running everywhere when I change oil in the Concours. The installation was a snap and the quality of the parts is excellent. Thanks again to Dan and Murph for bringing this product to market.

Hi Dan,

Well I just wanted you to know that you have one happy customer here!

The kit came in the mail, from www.murphskits.com, last week. Three days from order to my doorstep. I inspected the components, good quality and finish with easy to read directions, looks like someone had put in some thought and effort into the kit.

This afternoon I decided the oil change on my 1995 ZX11d was due and this would be the best time to install the filter kit.

Well I did the normal disassembly of body parts to gain access to the filter and drain plugs. While draining the oil I set out the kit and required tools (1 1/8 socket and torque wench.) I took a few seconds to read the instructions and look over the pictures. I removed the old filter and cleaned up the filter housing (as described in the instructions.) I was surprised at the ease of assembly, it went quickly and easily, nothing fancy just followed the instructions. Filled up the spin on oil filter and lightly coated the seal with oil before installation. After putting the crankcase drain plugs back in I filled up the crankcase with fresh oil. Started her up and checked for leaks and level (no leaks and level was ok) The filter kit did not change the total amount of oil required at all. Took her for a spin around the block (ok 25 miles) rechecked for leaks, NO LEAKS.

Total time, no more than FIVE minutes more than a normal oil change.

In conclusion YOUR KIT ROCKS!!! Now I can change my oil and filter easier, with less mess! One more bonus I do not have to go to a motorcycle only shop to purchase a filter, I can save some cash and pick up one at any auto parts store. I am going to tell everyone I know, who can use this kit, that they need to get one!

Again YOU ROCK!!!

A Happy Customer

Hello Dan,

Just wanted to let you know I installed the kit today on the ZZR-1200 and it is perfect. Did all the measurements, and clearances, and it seems to belong there. Also no problem with the long filters, the Zeds cowling gives plenty of room and clears the long filter by a couple of inches.

Very nice kit and being as I do all my own maintenance, I am sure It will make things lots easier at oil change time. I will be posting on the 1200 site my impressions. All you need to do is put it on the center stand, and remove the right lower cowl to do the mod. Its a no brainer.

Thanks again,

Tom
